Kahootz: June 21st Granite Links Golf Club Wedding

Friday night June 21st Kahootz was honored to perform the wedding ceremony and reception of the new Mr. and Mrs. Ring at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy MA.  If you’ve not been to Granite Links you really should check it out as it really has become one of the go to places for a great Boston wedding reception.  As one of New England’s top wedding bands we get to play many places but Granite Links has become one of our favorites.  The room, location, and dance floor size can’t be beat.  Plus they have an tented outdoor area they can utilize for ceremonies and cocktail hour receptions.  Kate and Tyler’s wedding was a blast. They asked us to help with ceremony music for their exchanging of vows.  Randy accompanied Clayton Heoener from the Boston Pops Orchestra.  Clayton is one of the many great string and wind players we contract when Randy performs ceremonies for our clients.  Once the ceremony was over Randy went into cocktail music mode where he did a little jazz as well as favorites from every era including piano bar favorites.  For the reception the bride and groom were after that perfect blend of classic and modern.  Their first dance was the Beatles “I Will”. Immediately afterwards we invited everyone to the dance floor to join them in a Jewish Hora.  Our experience is that this celebratory dance is done at most Jewish wedding receptions in Boston.  Being we now had everyone on the dance floor the bride and groom wanted some open dancing as a way to set the tone for the party they wanted the rest of the night.  Kate loves contemporary music so we started things off with some Sean Kingston.  As you can see from the pictures it more than did the trick.  What a great party!
