Choosing a specific list of songs for your Wedding Band
The key to creating an unforgettable experience for you and your guests is having as much information as possible. Ideally, we’ll have the opportunity to meet before the wedding. We like to have a detailed discussion about 10 days before the event. Usually these are done over Zoom.
During this meeting we'll go over the reception itinerary, how to pronounce names and details about formal songs. Towards the end we'll talk about song preferences for dancing.
I’ll ask you to share a few details, five songs, artists, or genres you would prefer to avoid at your celebration, and five that you’re excited to include as well as a few must plays and some song suggestions for your parents and their fiends in order to make sure the music is inclusive for them.
With this information, We can ensure the music perfectly suits your vision, allowing us to read the crowd and craft a fantastic atmosphere throughout the evening.
How Much Do Boston Wedding Band Cost?
Pricing for Boston wedding band can range anywhere between five thousand dollars to over eleven thousand dollars. There are many factors that go into a band’s pricing. To get the best value, a client can choose a time of year that’s less popular, January through April for example. Or, during high season (May through mid November) one can choose a mid-week or Friday night to help get a discounted price.
Travel costs are the number one reason a client would spend on the higher end of the range, or possibly more.
Our bands are based in Boston. When travel costs are a factor, the additional time it takes to get there is built into the client's price quote. As one might assume, those costs can get dear when we are asked to travel to locations that are three or more hours away.
To be clear, once a band has to travel past sixty miles, your expenditure will go up. Also, please understand that, often, overnight accommodations are required when an event is over three hours away, goes very late, or if we can’t get back until the next day.
Not being able to return the day of an event often occurs when we are performing on the local islands where ferry service shuts down before a client's party is finished. Other factors that can affect your investment are the size of the band, the band’s reputation and their talent. A band that features more members is going to cost more. Band’s that have great reputations and have proven track records for pleasing their clients year in and year out will cost more. Also, a band’s including performers with national reputations will command a premium.
Our aim at Kahootz Entertainment is to offer the best value possible for our clients. To get a price quote all you have to do it ask. All we need are a few specifics and we’ll get back to you as expediently as possible with detailed information and pricing. Using the contact form on our website is probably the most efficient way to do this, but feel free to email, call or even text. You’ll hear from us quickly, I promise.

Yes. We do detail meetings 10 days before a client’s affair. Most clients prefer to meet in person and I make every effort to accommodate that. Sometimes due to time, distance or people being to darn busy we do it over the phone. Whatever is best for you.
