Last Friday night we were in Newport RI for Maureen and Tim Burgess’ wedding reception at the Ocean Cliff Hotel. Tim insisted we play Huey Lewis’ “Happy to be Stuck with You” for their reception entrance. It was the perfect tune for a great couple. They had seen us earlier this year when we did the McCourt Foundation Black Tie Gala at the Boston Harbor. Maureen said to me after she saw us that night: “that’s exactly what we want…. everybody up and dancing”. Tim and Maureen’s reception party was amazing – dancing from start to finish. Among the many highlights that night: Tim’s Dad did a serenade the bride with “When Your Old Wedding Ring Was New” His close friend, jazz pianist extraordinaire John Worsley, used Randy’s keyboard and back him up.
